Roll `em Out - 075/365
Rolls of used, wet, and sliced carpet collecting outside my bulkhead doors. Once I got enough of the furniture out of the way I started pulling up the carpet and cutting it into managable chunks to lug it up and out of the basement. We have two finished rooms down there, and I got about three quarters of one of them done today. Under the carpet was a carpet pad which was still fully soaked, so I learned pretty quickly to suck the water out of the pad before trying to drag that outside. Even with some of the water removed, the carpet and the pad were still pretty darn heavy. Hopefully I can get through the rest tomorrow.. the musty smell is starting to become more than musty.
way after
24 hours after cleaning, the carpet is soaking up water from the padding below and is still very wet.
